Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach (formerly West Palm Beach Public Library) was recently awarded a grant from the Mandel Foundation to assist the library in establishing world-class programming!
Mandel Public Library is looking for a Programming Librarian to work for one of the most innovative and busiest libraries in the state! This year long, grant-funded position will require researching, planning, and implementation of interactive, cultural and educational programs for all ages. The Programming Librarian will develop and manage public relations efforts, perform needed community analyses to determine public programming needs, and provide exceptional customer service. In addition, this person will work closely with the Library Foundation, Library Friends Group, City departments and outside agencies.

| Education / Qualifications: |
This position requires a graduate degree from an ALA-approved program.
Master's in Library Science (MLS) from an ALA accredited program of study with two (2) years related experience in a field such as teaching, recreation, social work, or book sales, or any equivalent combination of training experience. A valid State of Florida driver's license, required. A valid license from any state (equivalent to a State of Florida Class E) may be utilized upon application; with the ability to obtain the State of Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days from day of employment.
