Description:

 

This is a coordinator/supervisory position responsible for innovative technology service delivery.  Develops and implements division policies and procedures, creates service timelines, trains and supervises support staff; plans classes and programming to meet educational standards using various modalities and interests.  An incumbent in this position is required to be creative and adaptive to upcoming technology in order to implement and train library users, develop outreach and use social media and virtual programs to enhance library services.  Select and deselect innovative technology services and print materials that support the programs.  Responsible for outreach and inclusion of partnering services to enhance opportunities to the NMB Library.  Ensures compliance with library policies and procedures, and compliance with our RISE Service Standards.  This is an exempt position.  Position reports to the Youth Services Manager and the Library Manager.

 


Education:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Marketing, Technology, Psychology or Public Administration or related field. Two (2) years’ progressively responsible library or computer lab or web development and instruction experience, or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe products, databases, creative technology, ILS, Open Source software, graphic design, web page management and supportive hardware and software. 

  • Strong communication skills required, including fluency in English (oral and written).  Bilingual preferred (Spanish-English; French/Creole-English). 

  • Use of technology with proficiency in various areas of service and administration.  Troubleshooting of innovative technologies such as 3D printing, CAD programming, etc.

  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with minimal citation (no more than six points).
