ADJUNCT/LECTURER "TEMPORARY POSITION"
Teach Law Practice Technology in Spring 2018 and beyond. Online Synchronous or Asynchronous; or In-Person. Technology and its use is changing the practice of law. Law Practice Technology will expose students to the theory and use of technology in legal practice, examining the role different technologies and their use in supporting legal practice and providing legal representation. The course may examine: litigation technologies; document management; practice management; electronic discovery; project management; eLawyering and virtual law practice; web design basics; and the ethical, security and privacy issues related to the development and use of technology in legal practice.
Minimum Qualifications : J.D. and M.S. or M.A. in library and information studies or equivalent, with experience in law practice technologies.
Desired Qualifications: J.D. and M.S. or M.A. in library and information studies or equivalent. An ideal candidate will have experience teaching law practice technologies at an ABA-Accredited United States law school. Experience teaching online preferred. Teaching law practice technology experience may substitute for degree qualifications based on years of experience and demonstrated student success. If teaching online asynchronous, must have previously taught law practice technology or equivalent course at an ABA-Accredited United States law school in this format. Experience with Blackboard or Canvas LMS preferred.
