Berkeley Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Library Media Specialist for grades PK-5 for the
2018-2019 school year. T he Library Media Specialist will work collaboratively with a full-time
instructional assistant to plan the instructional program and teach lessons to whole and small groups
that support the overall academic program.
Other responsibilities include:
● Manage and develop the library collection, databases and other resources
● Manage the Lower Division library budget
● Maintain a working knowledge of classic and current children’s literature
● Collaborate with faculty to support the school’s curriculum and instruction of research skills
and digital citizenship
● Serve as a resource for faculty and staff, sharing relevant educational publications
● Supervision duties, as assigned
