Description:

The Olin Library at Rollins College is seeking a Business Librarian to serve as liaison to undergraduate business majors, as well as support students and curricula of the Crummer School of Business. Under direction of the Head of User Experience, you will participate in all aspects of public services in Olin Library. This is a tenure-track faculty position with expectation for appointment as an assistant professor. Librarians with faculty status at Rollins College are expected to demonstrate a pattern of growth and development in librarianship, teaching, scholarship and service.

Education:

 

  • MLS from an ALA-accredited library program along with an undergraduate degree in a business discipline; MBA or second Master’s in a business-related discipline preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience at an academic library
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and experience with information literacy instruction with groups and individuals
  • An appreciation for the liberal arts and the role of the library in higher education
  • Educational background or work experience that indicates ability to maintain the library’s web presence and develop our online services through emerging technologies preferred
  • Skill in the use of a variety of computer software used in the library and demonstrated knowledge and experience with a learning management system, integrated library system and electronic and web-based reference resources
  • Ability to lead change in a rapidly developing library environment
  • The potential to present, publish or otherwise contribute to academic librarianship or a related, appropriate discipline
  • Reference and instruction experience in business preferred
  • Familiarity with data collection, analysis and reporting preferred
