Founded in 1896, the Maitland Public Library meets the educational, informational, cultural, and recreational needs of the residents of Maitland. The Circulation Supervisor serves the patrons as well as other divisions of the library in the management of the circulation of library materials.
This is a critical front line position that serves as the face of the library to the general public. This supervisor works hands-on with patrons and staff members at and around the circulation desk to provide high quality customer service with a personal touch. As a member of the Library Management Team, the Circulation Supervisor determines and implements all changes and upgrades in the department as well as oversees general circulation operations, including staff supervision, cash reconciliation, and policy implementation.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and attention to detail, be well versed in basic computer programs, and be willing to cooperate with other library departments. Maitland Public Library staff members work as a team, across departments, to do everything we can to serve our community. Staff are often asked to assist in other areas of the library and enjoy working as a team.
