Broward County, Board of County Commissioners is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Library Specialist Supervisor Programming at the Main Library, within the Libraries Division.
Additional vacancies may be filled from this recruitment for a different location/section within the library system. This position may be assigned to any location/section within the Libraries Division based on operational needs.
The Main Library serves as an integral part of the community, offering classes in computer technology and educational, recreational, and cultural programs on a regular basis.
The purpose of this position is the supervision of a large unit and project coordination; supervision and training; resolving day to day operational issues of a large unit; develop, and implement programs and services, including division wide initiatives. This position will provide supervision for the programming unit, coordinate projects, train, and resolve day to day operational issues of the unit. This position is also responsible for coordinating and scheduling events for a fully equipped auditorium, overseeing installations of displays in a 3850 square feet gallery, developing and
implementing programs and services, including division-wide initiatives, and write grant proposals to seek funding for program series.nbv
