This part time position working in multiple downtown Orlando law firms will include processing library publications, distributing newsletters, shelving books and journals, and filing loose-leaf materials. The Assistant Law Librarian may also handle some cataloging, interlibrary loan, legal reference and document retrieval. The hours are part time, about 25 hours per week, and the work must be performed during the normal business day of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Everlove & Associates manages and supports law libraries in private, academic and government settings. We have been in business since 1976, with more than 20 employees serving in nearly 100 libraries throughout the state of Florida. Our duties range from tracking serials and filing loose-leaf supplements to choosing research tools and training patrons to use electronic research services.
We are not temporary employees and our jobs are not temporary. Most of us work in the same libraries for our entire employment and many have been with Everlove & Associates for more than 10 years.
Library or Information Science graduate degree or degree candidate preferred
Bachelor's Degree required
Law Library experience preferred; library experience required
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Access data entry
Demonstrated ability to work on your own
Attention to detail in performing repetitive tasks
Excellent interpersonal skills, especially written communications
Online research skills including Westlaw and Lexis
Requires the ability to move between buildings in downtown
