General Summary & Essential Responsibilities
The position performs responsible professional and administrative work directing a wide range of activities aimed at recognizing and maintaining
Charlotte County's local history resources and collections. Work involves managing a specialist history unit or branch in the Libraries & History Division.
Work involves continuous public contact requiring the exercise of considerable patience, tact, and diplomacy, and the exercise of independent
judgment andinitiative in scheduling, assigning, and coordinating work with that of other units within the system.
Participates in the selection, placement, promotion, training, development, scheduling, discipline, safety, and appraisal of professional,
paraprofessionaland volunteer personnel in the methods, practices, and techniques used in area of specialty as assigned.
