Description:

 

This is responsible, professional specialist work planning, implementing and evaluating staff training and organizational development programs and projects for the Library System. Makes recommendations for improvements of existing programs and creates new programs as training needs are identified; conducts training sessions. Develops staff mentoring program, coordinates and tracks employee participation in County training programs, organizes training materials and makes them accessible to staff; assists in developing and implementing the new employee orientation program and on-boarding training.  Compiles, analyzes and reports statistics on staff development activities; analyzes and interprets training data and produces reports for State Library and other agencies.

Education:

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in Library Science accredited by the American Library Association; one (1) year professional experience; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.    PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH: Developing instructional strategies, programs, materials and activities (must specify on application). Conducting presentation/public speaking; training/ teaching (must specify on application).
