Education, Training, and Experience: Bachelor's degree required with a preferred focus on library science, management, education, or related field. Requires five years of direct public/customer service experience with a minimum of two years in a library environment. A minimum of two years direct supervisory or equivalent experience preferred. Must possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to mentor and train subordinate staff in alignment with best practices. A solid knowledge in the use of computers, technology, and integrated library systems, as well as a strong familiarity with mobile devices including smartphones and tablets is required. Must be able to work evenings and Saturdays.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Skills:
Skilled and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of Products. General Internet skills including the use of email and other related applications, and performing Internet research. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must successfully pass an employment reference check, criminal background check and physical examination, which may include drug and alcohol testing. A Florida Driver's License is required. Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days certification in FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses 100C and 700B.
