Plans and coordinates the programming and curriculum of the Digital Media and Maker Centers (DMM) for the YOUMedia Program which includes the designing and creating of new programs to deliver to teen aged patrons in the areas of video production, editing, photography and lighting, coding, robotics, computer usage, digital graphic design, music production, etc. Supervises DMM mentors and creates and coordinates schedules for them.
Assists mentors with the various DMM workshops and one-on-one instruction with the patrons, and provides support and resources as needed. Creates audio and video related clips, or productions for Library Staff for Library events.
Develops and implements outreach programs for high schools, youth organizations, and special events to disseminate information about the DMM programs to potential patrons. Assists with the planning and staffing of outreach efforts.
Develops Digital Media and Maker Center procedures, and monitors and documents results and outcomes of the various programs. Maintains statistical reports.
Creates social media initiatives for the DMM Programs for social media outlets such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. to inform the public of the programs, and to maintain a high profile of the services.
Performs related work as required.
Bachelor's degree. One year of experience in the digital field is required. Experience with Macs, PCs and digital media creation software to include, but not limited to, Adobe Creative Cloud is highly preferred.
