Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports statewide and local library programs that contribute to serving the needs of adult, senior and special populations (e.g., deaf, blind and sight impaired) in Florida. More specifically, creates and compiles library programming best practices for adult learning and literacy. Develops partnerships with key agencies and organizations to promote adult literacy, senior programming and ADA compliance in Florida libraries.
Provides consulting services. Responds to requests for information. Prepares grant applications, proposals, reports, position papers, and other documents to support serving the needs of adult, senior and special populations in Florida.
Works in a team environment in the Bureau of Library Development to plan and implement Bureau and Division activities, including continuing education opportunities, outreach, publications, surveys, grant administration and other priorities. Efforts are consistent with the values and beliefs of the Division enumerated in the long-range plan for library development in Florida.
Performs other work related duties as required. Ensures that use of the State Purchasing Card (P-Card) conforms to all state and departmental rules and procedures.
