Develop and implement programs that further the Library’s mission of lifelong learning and access to information, utilizing library science best practices. Maintain a collection of materials that support library goals and are well circulated and regarded by patrons. Support Circulation Desk activities as a role model of exemplary customer service, support and instruction. Delivers high quality instruction and programming, including technology classes, workshops and story times. Serve as back up to the Circulation Supervisor. The Circulation Librarian may occasionally serve as Library Manager-on-Duty.

Requires a Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited school. Circulation desk experience in a public library preferred. Customer service experience in a public library experience preferred. Requires extensive computer literacy and practical experience with electronic devices and formats including social media. Ability to work with library customers and staff in a consistently friendly, respectful and efficient manner. Must have Valid Florida Driver’s License. Complete the required National Incident Management System (NIMS) training within 6 months of completion of probationary period.
