St. Johns County Library Services seeks Virtual Librarian and Marketing Coordinator to perform professional librarian duties associated with the library’s virtual and technical services and coordinating the media presence for the St. Johns County Library System. Articulates the mission and purpose of the St. Johns County Library system through its website and social media accounts. Develops web content, promotional materials, e-newsletters and other marketing information in support of the Library’s community and branch programs. Develops and distributes library e-newsletters; researches, identifies, and curates noteworthy library programs and services for broad promotion. Assists staff and public through various media and communication channels with technical and media related issues. Develops and facilitates staff training on best practices for program and service promotion, preparing information for sharing, especially via online and social networking. Researches and prepares detailed analyses and longitudinal studies regarding usage, patron demographics, and technical trends to implement strategies to increase the community’s awareness of library services and programs. Represents the library at public meetings and events as assigned. Serves as liaison to the Library Advisory Board and other community or business organizations to promote available services and programs both through the library and in the community at large. Coordinates with the County's Communications Director/team regarding media initiatives, promotional efforts, and interview requests. Serves as a Department point of contact during emergencies. Responds to after-hours calls, as assigned. Maintains a full-time presence on the job. May be required to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends or holidays. Performs other duties as assigned.

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license and any other endorsements necessary to legally operate vehicles used while assigned to this position.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to serve others.
Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language.
